Since 2006, Avid Consulting has provided site development and engineering design including due diligence report which provides various information and criteria in analyzing site suitability, including conceptual layout. Once the developer determines a site is suitable for development, Avid Consulting provides land surveying, planning, zoning, site planning, landscape architecture and engineering design services.

IT Service Projects

We have been very successful in mitigating risks, delivering projects within schedule and budget, and maintaining quality while engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Targeted take over the Maintenance from Internal staff. During this process led the ‘Knowledge Transfer’ process with the team consisting of onsite & onsite resources. These applications were part of Supply-Chain process (Retail & Merchandise) focusing on ERP, Trading, Inventory & WM, Sales and Purchase. Responsible for overall IT service management (ITSM) as per the ITIL compliances.

Large size Conversion project. The scope was to expand the necessary ‘Dollar’ fields to increase by 100 times for Insurance, Finance and Asset Management systems. Claims and Premium modules has EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) modules for direct bank and credit card processing. There were 27 systems of medium and complex nature with cross functionalities in the scope of the project and nearly 10mn lines of code to be converted. These systems were both On-line and Batch systems with various processing cycles.

Large ‘Technical Migration’ Program of 100+ applications are migrated from Legacy systems to Contemporary .Net Applications with large no of enhancements. 

These applications covered Policy Administration, Premium Generation, Reconciliation, Regulatory, Data Analysis & Integration, Property & Causality. Know more >>

Huge Program of Migration, Redesigning and Enhancing the features of web portals for Retail & Merchandise / E-Commerce (Digital) and ERP sections. This mainly included UI from Legacy applications to J2EE and Visual Basic. Know more >>

Large system life-cycle project in multi-layer environment. Development of portals using web services.

K-12 EXPERIENCE – Chicago Public Schools Biennial Assessments

The Board owns approximately 62 million square feet of property which is spread out among approximately 523 separate campuses

Avid is a key member of a multi-disciplinary team performing CPS’ Biennial Assessment. The purpose of the program is to update the existing Facility Cost Tracking System (FACTS) and to accurately identify the capital improvement needs of all 600+ school buildings for sound fiscal planning.  Know more >>

Facility Assessment and Capital Planning for McCormick Place and Navy Pier

In my role as Director of Construction we performed facility assessment of the entire facility including Architectural, MEPFP, vertical transportation, Civil, Structural, Site disciplines. Based on the condition assessment, a list of deferred maintenance projects, ROI projects, revenue generation projects were developed. Financial models were created based on life cycle analysis to develop a comprehensive $650 Mil – 30 year Capital plan. An annual plan and a five year plans were also created. $80Mil funds were appropriated by State legislation for Capital project implementation. Know more >>

Construction Management Projects

First American Bank, Homer Glen, IL

Avid Consulting was retained by the village of Homer Glen to provide construction management services to review the development of this new construction. ACI provided seasoned construction managers to insure that the building was being built per local jurisdictions and in compliance with IBC codes. Any variances were reported. The asset was built within cost and budget.
